Join ARMA Madison and the Wisconsin Historical Society for a tour of Madison's odd history. 

Madison has experienced its share of quirky characters, notorious murder trials, and rumors of creepy creatures. The downtown district has been at the center of these curiosities since the city was founded in 1856. The tour will take visitors from the Capitol Square to Monona Terrace and back again, exploring strange and mischievous tales about the neighborhoods in between.  WHS staff will be on-hand to answer your questions, and we welcome you to visit the museum after the tour, or grab a bite from a downtown favorite. 

This tour sells out every time it is offered, so skip the crowds, join us for this private tour offered through ARMA for our local records and information community and their guests, and grab your early bird ticket today.  So we can register with WHS, please purchase your early bird tickets by 9/24/19 at 3pm.  After that, tickets will go up in price, until registrations end.  

This tour meets in front of the Wisconsin Historical Museum and covers approximately 1.4 miles on city sidewalks (1.5 hours).  Participants may be asked to stand for extended periods of time. Tour will take place rain or shine, but if the weather does not cooperate, we will reschedule that morning. If the weather is bad, watch your email!  Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.  Per WHS policy, cancellations after registration are not eligible for refunds.
