One of Tyrene's recent passion projects has been working with CEMG (Conference Education management Group). This is the ARMA International Group working on education and career planning. Tyrene will describe educational opportunities through ARMA International, introduce the new VP of Training and Certifications and share highlights of 2022 InfoCon Educational Tracks. This will be an informative conversation to help each of us plan ahead for a great InfoCon conference experience.

About Our Speaker

Tyrene Bada, MLS, CRM

Tyrene Bada, MLS, CRM (she/her/hers) has experience, education, and a passion for information governance and records management. She brings this enthusiasm every day to the City of Beaverton, where she works as a Records Management Specialist in the City Attorney's Office. In 2013, she was hired at the city, where she assisted in the implementation of the citywide content management system. Since then, she helped to implement the new case management system for the Municipal Court & Prosecutor's Office, and is currently helping to implement the city's new electronic permitting system and public records request portal.

Tyrene attended her first ARMA chapter meeting for the Oregon Chapter in 2008 and she volunteered to be the chapter webmaster soon thereafter. Since then, she has been Chapter President and has been recognized as Chapter Leader of the Year in both 2010 and 2015. She is proud to have been a Chapter Advisor for the Great Northwest Region, and is now active at the international level of ARMA, where she is currently serving on the Board of Directors. Attendees of the ARMA International Annual Conference may have seen her at the State/Local Government Industry Roundtable discussion, where she has served as the facilitator at every conference since 2014.

Tyrene earned her Masters of Library Science degree with a Certificate in Archival Studies from Emporia State University in 2011, and earned her Certified Records Manager credential in 2013.
